Undercover Christmas is the brainchild of producer Dave Liang, creator of The Shanghai Restoration Project. In the debut chapter of this series, Liang puts his own spin on five well-known Christmas standards including: an electro-classical take on Deck the Halls; an edgy jazz remake of Up on the Housetop; a sexy beat-driven Toyland; a haunting, cinematic rendition of Auld Lang Syne; and the harmonically altered Silent Night.
This five-song set is another example of a time-tested tradition keeping its festive spirit alive well into the 21st century.
